Helping each other can make the world better

A.R.N.I. APS, Association des Ressortissants de Niaogho en Italie (Association of Niaogho Nationals in Italy), is a voluntary association founded between 1989 and 1990 by citizens of the Niaogho municipality in Burkina Faso living in Italy. Officially recognized only in 2001 by the competent Italian authorities, ARNI is today one of the largest Burkinabé voluntary associations in Europe.

Niaogho is a department of Burkina Faso, in West Africa, located in the Boulgou province, part of the Centre-East region.
The department consists of the main town and 7 other villages: Bassindingo, Gozi, Ibogo, Niaogho-Peulh, Niarba, Sondogo and Tengsoba

solidarity and fraternity

Initially born with the mission of strengthening the bonds of solidarity and fraternity among Niaogho people living in Italy and their integration into the local community in compliance with the law, ARNI has, over time, set the goal of contributing to the development of the rural municipality of Niaogho and improving the living conditions of the population through the implementation of charitable works.

The main objectives of the association are:

– Promotion of Burkinabé culture, in particular the “Bissa” community, through events, demonstrations, and awareness-raising initiatives.

– Support and solidarity among members of the Burkinabé community, especially from Niaogho, in Italy, facilitating social and economic integration.

– Development of the territory of origin through activities involving:

– Support and humanitarian aid (basic necessities, clothing, food items);

– Donation of medical equipment;

– Assistance to the needy for education, training, and school structures;

– Construction of socio-sanitary infrastructure.

ARNI plays a social role for the Niaogho community living in Italy and, in particular, for the local Niaogholese community regarding socio-economic development.

The association carries out numerous activities of general interest, including:
- Organization of cultural and recreational events to spread Burkinabé culture.

- Reception and social integration of migrants, with a particular focus on the Niaogho community.

- Charitable activities and remote support for people in need.

- Promotion of a culture of legality, peace, and non-violence.

- Support for education and children's schooling in Burkina Faso.

- Construction of socio-sanitary facilities to improve the living conditions of the local population.
